Our Managing Member, Rafael M. Arrillaga, recently filed in the United States Court for the District of Puerto Rico an Amicus Curiae Brief on behalf of the PDP Caucus of the Senate of Puerto Rico in support of the position that, notwithstanding a plan confirmation order, the new bond legislation authorizing the plan of adjustment covering Puerto Rico Sales Tax Revenue Bonds only contractually binds the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
